*- Philip Pring: ATLANTIC ROWER
Philip Pring, 34 years old, currently lives in Sennen, Cornwall, and works as a Rowing Coach for British Rowing.
Other Work/Interests: Safety Officer for Virgin GB Row
Phil Pring, with his friend Ben Cummings, rowed a small open boat across the Atlantic in one of the world’s greatest challenges.
The Atlantic Rowing Race, from the Canaries to the West Indies, is held every two years and is unassisted which means that once underway, the rowing boats will not be permitted to take advantage of any outside assistance. Boats and teams must be self-sufficient and carry with them all of the equipment and food that they will need for their journey.
Future Plans: Happy to be on the other side of the fence, coaching other rowers, and helping to organise and market rowing events.

-Sally Kettle: ADVENTURER AND OCEAN ROWER
Sally Kettle with her Guiness World Record Certificate
In 2007 I published my autobiography ‘Sally’s Odd at Sea’. The book tells the tale of two Atlantic Ocean rowing adventures.
With no rowing experience and certainly no sea-going experience I took to the oars in my ocean rowing boat, Calderdale, in 2003. I was joined by
an unlikely partner, Sarah Kettle my mother. 105 days later we were the world’s first mother and daughter to row an ocean, the UK's first female pair and my Mum the first grandmother to row across the Atlantic.
In 2005 I founded Rowgirls.com an all female rowing team set to break the record for the fastest Atlantic crossing. My team of four were struck by disaster when a crewmate left the boat. The rudder fell off in the worst weather in 200 yrs of recorded history and a shark attacked the boat. Never willing to give up we still made it to Antigua 77 days later, becoming the first 3-handed boat to row any ocean.
I speak about my adventures on an International stage, and to over 100,000 people. I'm also currently producing ''Rowgirls' - a feature film inspired by my second row.
For more information on the film and to join the mailing list go to www.rowgirls.com
